As they say, you never get a second chance to make a great first impression. We know how important your smile can be to making a good first impression, as well as how important your first experience in our office is to your confidence and enjoyment of your orthodontic treatment. Have you ever walked into your doctors office and just stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge your presence?
Have you ever called your doctor’s office and by the time you hung up you were ready to switch practices? I know I have, and that feeling of not being valued or cared about is one of the motivating factors at my job to make sure that I do not let anyone feel that way after an interaction with myself and our office.
Your first impression is important to us!
As the Director of First Impressions my goal for the first phone call is to not let the phone ring more than twice. Once I pick up that call I begin your introduction to our office with a “smiling voice”. When I say “smiling voice”, I can guarantee you that I have a smile on my face when I pick up that phone, and it shows through to the person on the other end of the line. I also make it a point to make eye contact with anyone who walks through our front door and acknowledge them within seconds. My goal is for everyone to feel welcome and wanted at our practice.
But it doesn’t stop there: Second impressions!
From there, your next communication will be with our treatment coordinator. They will call you before your initial exam to answer any questions you may have and get you excited for your first appointment. When you arrive to our office, you will be greeted by myself or another member of our inviting team and offered coffee or fruit water while you wait. I take this portion of my job VERY seriously. I want you to feel welcome as soon as you open the door. We have amazing patients and families at our practice and getting to know them is my favorite part of my job.
Your Continued Journey!
From there, you will meet with our amazing records technician to have some initial photos and a low dose 3-D scan of your teeth. Our records technician, Danielle, goes above and beyond to answer any questions and calm any nerves before proceeding with the records. She has a gift with the little ones; they walk into her office nervous and leave with a smile (and of course some goodies).
Brooke, our treatment coordinator, is next on your journey. She gets the ins and outs of how you feel about your smile and gathers any questions that you may have. Brooke does a fantastic job of making you feel comfortable, and is a wealth of knowledge, especially having a daughter in treatment at our office.
Next will come Dr. Nick. After reviewing the photos and x rays, he comes in with fun and upbeat energy that makes it impossible not to get pumped about where he is going to take you on your smile journey.
