Fixed Appliances Vs. Removable Appliances
At Hinsdale Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry, we believe you should be fully educated when it comes to your treatment. It's important to understand the difference between fixed and removable appliances.
Fixed appliances, like Damon braces, are attached to your teeth and aren't removed until you complete your treatment at our Hinsdale office.
Like Spark's clear aligner system, you'll wear removable appliances most of the day, but you can take them out easily.
Besides the obvious differences, Hinsdale Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry uses Spark clear aligners to treat mild to moderate orthodontic problems. Dr. Riccio and Dr. Blair generally recommend fixed appliances for comprehensive and serious treatment.
