How Orthodontic Insurance Works
Orthodontic insurance differs from general dental insurance, and here’s how:
- Lifetime Maximums: Orthodontic coverage typically includes a one-time lifetime maximum per individual, rather than an annual limit.
- Payments Over Time: Unlike dental insurance, orthodontic benefits are usually paid out in installments over the course of your treatment.
- Coverage Limits: Some plans have age restrictions or separate coverage levels for orthodontic treatment.
- Dual Coverage: If you have two dental insurance plans, it doesn’t always mean full coverage for orthodontic treatment—limitations may still apply.
Our team is here to help you navigate the complexities of insurance, so you can be sure that you’ll get the most out of your plan.
